Call before Christmas

November 26th, 2020: CALL BEFORE CHRISTMAS!

Dear friends and loyal supporters of Patty’s Child Clinics Pakistan,

if this year has shown us anything, it is that almost nothing can be planned.

However, we know that some phenomena are very likely to recur.

As an example we are rather sure that after the day follows the night and after the night follows a new day. So the sun will rise again, even if the night was ever so dark.

This is the sun that you made rise and shine in Pakistan for maternal and child health in Punjab.

Since we were able to open the first small Patty’s Child Clinic in Chillianwalla in Punjab in 2016, not only a second clinic in Mandi Bahauddin has been inaugurated at the beginning of this year, but also a third one in Chak 16 is nearing completion.

More than 20,000 consultations for medical advice have been made possible and places have been created where mothers can give their babies the chance to live in peace and tranquility with expert help, fresh, clean water in a hygienic environment and the best medical care, including the necessary vaccinations for newborns and all of this without any worries.

In our clinics about 10,000 babies have seen the light of day so far and have been released healthy and vaccinated in the first days of their lives.

Thanks to early imaging diagnostics, the medical teams on site are able to detect difficult births and identify problem cases in a timely manner, so that the pregnant women can be taken to the larger hospitals in the region for expert care. Due to this procedure we have been able to reduce stillbirths and maternal mortality to zero in our clinics in Punjab. This is a great achievement, as many mothers and children have died miserably and needlessly in home births before our medical facilities were put into operation.

So with your wonderful help and support we have managed, to capture the warming and healing rays of the sun for these mothers and children.

They now can live in the certainty that they will receive expert help and the best possible medical care, even though they live in the rural, hard to reach areas of Punjab and may never have consulted a doctor before in their lives.

What we have impressively experienced and seen this year is that disease knows no boundaries, no classes, no castes, so please continue supporting this people in need. We have the fortune of a good birth in this part of the world, we must always be aware of. We have been given every opportunity for a healthy and therefore bright future. Let us take responsibility and help those who have not experienced this kind of happiness.
