Construction start of the 2nd PCCP

March 10th, 2019: Here we go! The construction of the 2nd Patty’s Child Clinic in Mianwal Ranjha, Mandi Bahauddin District has begun! The new clinic for expectant mothers and their children is expected to open its doors at the end of 2019.

Patricia Poetis, initiator of the project, comments:

“This is really great news. In Chillianwala, we have now been able to give almost 3,500 children a healthy start in life and have provided medical care for over 10,000 mothers in pre- and post-operative care. Every day we see how important this work is and we are really very happy that our supporters, the Lions Foundation, Lions Hilfswerk Germany as well as the great helpers of the Lions Club Chillianwala have put everything into motion to make the construction of a second clinic possible”.

The Patty’s Child Clinic in Chillianwala enjoys great popularity and thanks to the good equipment of the hospital it has been possible to reduce the death rate of mother and child at birth to zero.

The project is also receiving immense support from the political sector. In October 2018, Patricia Poetis was able to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with His Excellency Aamir Mehmood Kiani, Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination, which assures government support for the expansion of the project.
